The team at AMI have a wide range of skills and experience with the Lead Consultant holding an MBA (majoring in Association Management, strategic planning, marketing, communications, legal) which he gained as the successful candidate for a scholarship from the Society of Association Executives (AuSAE). He also holds a Bachelor of Economics majoring in accounting, economics and commercial law.

Team members also are members of various professional bodies including the Institute of Company Directors, Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and one a former member of Chartered Secretaries Australia. The Lead Consultant was Associate Director in the management consulting division of the international accounting and management consulting firm of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (now Deloitte) based in Sydney.

In addition, team members have held CEO roles of various professional and industry associations (charities, industry and peak bodies, institutes etc.) over the past 20 years and have conducted consultancy and training at the operational and management level. Team members conduct annual Board of Director training sessions for various associations and have written numerous strategic and marketing plans which have been subsequently implemented on a contract basis.
